We are proud to be recognised as a winner in the Environmental Excellence category at the 2021 Tasmanian Timber Awards, held on 10th September at the Albert Hall in Launceston.
The award for Environmental Excellence is awarded in recognition of excellence in environmental management within the Tasmanian Timber Industry.
At Timberlink, sustainability is at the core of everything we do, and we work hard to continually optimise our business practices to minimise our environmental footprint.
We have taken significant steps to reduce our carbon impact, and in 2020 our carbon target to reduce scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 53% by 2030 when compared to 2018 was verified and approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).
We hope that by demonstrating leadership in this field, other companies in our sector will be encouraged to formalise targets and formulate their own plans to reduce their carbon impact.
